The Town of Saugeen Shores is holding a public Open House to receive feedback from residents of Saugeen Shores on the draft version of the Recreation Master Plan.
The Open House, scheduled for November 21, will take place at the Plex in Port Elgin and is open to all Saugeen Shores residents. This drop-in evening will allow members of the public to come and go as they please, review materials, ask questions and provide comments at their leisure. This meeting is intended to test the outcomes of the Recreation Master Plan and ensure the proposed actions reflect the future needs of Saugeen Shores.
“This Recreation Master Plan is going to be our guiding tool for the future of recreation in our community,” said Jayne Jagelewski, Director of Community Services. “Therefore, we encourage our community members to attend, ask questions and provide input,” she continued.
Through the development of this plan, a viable strategy will be created for the development of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and services over the next 15 years. This meeting will be conducted through an informal open house format, with a series of display boards summarizing key findings and recommendations provided through the research conducted Monteith Brown Planning Consultants.
The meeting will take place on November 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Rotary Hall (upstairs) at the Plex in Port Elgin, 600 Tomlinson Drive.
