In memory of Eric Eastwood family and friends gathered on Saturday, October 15 when the 340 Squadron Port Elgin Air Cadets planted a Red Oak in his honour.

In an October 18 media release, "Eric was a great friend to the Town of Saugeen Shores and of 340 Squadron. The Squadron was privileged to pay tribute to Eric’s passing in the place honoured with his name – Eastwood Park."
