Golfers, get ready for the fourth annual Swing, Shoot & Liv Golf Classic, set to take place on Saturday, September 10 at the Saugeen Golf Club, Port Elgin.
The tournament is the Liv-A-Little Foundation's leading fundraising event of the year and, having sold out the previous two years and raising approximately $225,000 in the tournament’s three year history, it represents steps towards research and finding a cure for Cystinosis. The rare, metabolic disease effects just 75 children and young adults in Canada; among them Saugeen Shores’ Olivia Little, after whom the Foundation is named.
Registration for the tournament is $125 per golfer or $500 per team of four with the day including 18 holes of golf, a power cart, a barbecue lunch, full service dinner, auction and prizes. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. with a shot gun start at 1 p.m.
To register contact the Saugeen Golf Shop at 519-389-4031. For further information about the tournament or the Liv-a-Little Foundation, visit livalittlefoundation.com or find them at their Facebook page.
