Saugeen First Nation hosted its 45th annual Competition Pow Wow, August 6 and 7 at the James Mason Memorial Cultural Centre, Saugeen First Nation.
Six year old Cameron Desormeaux (left) helped to organize a Lemonade Stand and Bake Sale at Lakeshore Recreation in Port Elgin to raise money for the Liv-A-Little Foundation, August 3. She had help from her mother, Lakeshore’s Event Coordinator, Sue, and little brother Blake, 4 years old.
Guests who attended Port Elgin Rotary’s third annual Ribfeast at North Shore Park August 6 were treated to great food and music. Funds raised are going to help the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Hospital Expansion Project.
Lucy the pug had a great time in the tub, at Unleash the Pawsitive’s Bathe to Save fundraiser for Angel Arms Rescue, July 30. From left, helpers Maddie Mensher and Callie Shortt leant a hand to Cassidy Weber of Tangled Tails Dog Grooming with the many dogs lined up for their baths.
Rowland’s Independent Grocer had a few new helpers on a busy Saturday, July 30. From left, Harper, Olivia, Erin and Chad Little, along with Liv-A-Little Foundation Board member Stacey Reiley bagged groceries and helped customers to their cars. The Saugeen Shores Liv-A-Little Foundation was Rowland’s “Icon Sale” in correspondence with the Foundation’s Paint the Town Purple campaign.
Bathers had already started occupying the beach just south of the Big Flag in Southamtpon by midway through Saturday morning.
