Volunteers came out on a sunny but brisk Saturday morning, April 23, to bring to a close the Town of Saugeen Shores Spring Cleaning Week with three community clean ups: Port Elgin Beach, Southampton Beach and Denny’s Dam.

Port Elgin saw a steady stream of pick up artists, about 30 in total, including around 11 members of the Saugeen Shores Get Outdoors Club leading the charge. The Southampton crew, led by the Southampton Residents Association saw a total of about 30 volunteers as well. And Denny’s Dam, hosted by Thorncrest Outfiitters, although not as well attended, were just as eager to get things cleaned up.
