Meridian asked its Facebook community to nominate three Ontario charities that they felt were deserving of one of three $5,000 donations and Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey was one of the charities selected.

The donation came from Meridian’s Holiday Donation Facebook campaign, a week-long campaign that ran December 11 through December 18.

Tiffany Love from Women’s House said in a press release, “Women's House is grateful for the support from Meridian, as well as the community member or members, who believed enough in the work we do to nominate us for this amazing award! Together we can help end violence against women!”

In addition to Women’s House, the Pembroke Food Bank and the Grand River Conservation Authority were chosen.
