Saugeen Shores Police service remind all motorists and pedestrians, when the power is out and traffic lights are not working, take extra care when approaching and traveling through all intersections.
During a power outage always treat all controlled intersections (traffic lights) as if it were a four way stop. That means the first one in is the first one out. Some intersections have battery back-up that will last for a period of time, but for longer outages the battery power may run out.
