Saugeen Shores Police Service is investigating two recent break, enter and thefts.
Between October 15 and 17, unknown persons entered a storage container at the rear of the SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) Boutique on Goderich Street in Port Elgin. Approximately 15 paddle boards and several paddles were stolen from the container.
During the overnight hours from October 19 to 20, unknown persons entered onto the Kenorus Campground site on Highway 21 between Port Elgin and Southampton.
On the property they entered a storage barn and stole a number of tools. a John Deere Gator was stolen and is believed to have been used to transport the tools from the property to a nearby vehicle. The Gator was found abandoned nearby, on the rail trail at Concession 10.
The stolen items included a Work King 20 gallon air compressor, Makita circular saw, Makita impact drill, Dewalt mini circular saw and three industrial Stihl blowers. Approximately 37 trailers at the campground were also entered.
