Shoreline Power Group's Katrina Crook and Nicole Clarmo presented a $2,000 donation to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) had a great start to the new year as Shoreline Power Group donated $2,000 toward the Foundation's x-ray fundraising campaign.
From a January 28 media release from SMHF, the community rallied in December behind the $510,000 x-ray campaign through the Foundation’s annual Light the Way Radiothon and holiday campaign, raising over $470,000.

Project Director Sam Bambino said the Shoreline Power Group was proud to support community fundraising projects, especially those related to community health. "I think a lot of people and businesses have realized over this past year during the pandemic just how important our local hospitals are to our communities," said Bambino. "We saw an opportunity to help support the hospital foundation and were more than happy to donate toward the new x-ray machine fundraising campaign."
“Community support for the new x-ray machine has just been phenomenal," said to Tracy Murray, Executive Director with SMHF, adding "With fundraising being so unpredictable this past year we never expected to have raised almost the entire funds needs this quickly. The residents and businesses in our community have demonstrated once again how important local healthcare is to them."
As of the end of January the total raised had reached $482,000.
