SNC Lavalin have announced that they will be returning for the second year as a sponsor for Gran Fondo Lake Huron, presented by Bruce Power this August, said a Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation media release.
“What I love most about Bruce County is that people value health and wellness," said Francesca Ottoni, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development SNC Lavalin. "What better way to demonstrate our support than sponsoring an event which gives people the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Lake Huron countryside," she added.
“We have gotten such tremendous support from local businesses for the Gran Fondo again this year,” said Foundation Executive Director Tracy Murray. “The fact that so many of last year’s sponsors are excited to return again this year confirms that this fundraiser is not only a fun community event but the cause it supports is also important to the people and businesses of the community.”
“This year’s event should be bigger and better than last year," said Board Chair Jim Barbour. "We are expecting registration numbers will exceed 800 cyclists."
Barbour added that following the ride August 18, a catered picnic, entertainment and a free beer courtesy of Outlaw Brew Co. will await riders. "It should be a fun and memorable experience for everyone who takes part and for those who come to cheer on the cyclists," he said.
