Having completed a pledge of $50,000 to the Hospital Campaign, the Rotary Club of Southampton has announced that is is now making a $20,000 pledge to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation towards the Grey Bruce Health Service’s MRI fundraising initiative.

In an October 5 media release, the Rotary Club is holding a Marvellous Rotary Indulgence on October 20 at the Walker House to raise funds for the MRI and other Rotary projects. This will be the club's 17th annual Dinner Auction. For tickets or to donate an auction prize or sponsor the event please contact President Sylvia Sheard at sylvia.sheard@gmail.com.

“Our Club cherishes its role as a leader in the community, from the day it made the founding donation to the Southampton Hospital in the 1930s to today when we are making a lead major donation to the MRI initiative," said Sheard. "We believe it is important that our community continues to have access to the best possible health care and this new initiative will replace a piece of 14 year old equipment at the regional centre in Owen Sound with the latest in imaging technology," she added.
