The Power Workers' Union (PWU) Bruce Site Equity Committee recently donated $30,000 to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) to help them to meet their equipment fundraising needs, according to a SMHF media release.

“The Power Workers' Union is pleased to be able to assist our local communities by providing this donation to our local health care centre to benefit all community members," said Linda Crombeen, Chief Steward from the PWU at the Bruce site.

The PWU Bruce Site Equity Committee has been in place since early 2006 with a purpose to make cash disbursements of PWU Bruce equity funds to community organizations and local causes. The committee makes these donations on behalf of the more than 2,600 PWU members who work for Bruce Power.
