Bruce Power has announced a five year commitment to support drug and alcohol addiction recovery support programs through the Westover Treatment Centre (WTC) in Goderich and Tiverton, providing $25,000 annual beginning in 2019 and running through 2023.
Westover’s Recovery Support program is available to people who have completed the Substance Dependence, Co-Dependence, and/or Stage 2 Recover and Relapse Prevention Programs. Participation in these programs is highly recommended for continued support, self-care, and maintaining sobriety. Meetings are held weekly over a 26-week period in 11 southwestern Ontario communities, including Goderich and Tiverton.
"[Bruce Power believes] strongly that the people in our rural communities deserve to have access to the best care,” said James Scongack Executive Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Operational Services. “For more than 30 years, Westover Treatment Centre has been a leader in providing high-quality care to clients, their families, and friends who have been affected by addiction," Scongack added.
