All hands were on deck as Rabbit Dash moved from their original location at 668 Goderich Street to the former Lido building, 662 Goderich Street, without skipping a beat.

In a submission to Saugeen Shores Hub, the original space closed its doors at 8 p.m. on July 15 as per their usual hours and the new space opened the following morning at 6 a.m.

Several staff members, customers and friends put in many hours to ensure the space was complete. Perry Gosling, a loyal Rabbit Dash customer, arrived at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, July 15 and did not stop working until 12:45 a.m. Tuesday morning. Not only did Gosling put in about 17 hours of work but he also arrived before staff opening morning to ensure he would be the first customer at the new space.

Owner Jon Hepplewhite, fiancé Kristy Whyte and staff member Joey Seymour left the store around 3 a.m. and all came back bright and early for opening day. Other helpers included customers and friends Aaron Jex, Doug Hamm and Zach Ernst; and employees Becky Call, Sierra Martin and Emily Russet.

"We are so excited to share the new space with our community and couldn’t have done it without the support of the community and our incredible staff," read the submission.
