Carey Optical in Port Elgin is celebrating ten years in business. Paul and Lorie Carey, both Registered Opticians, and co-owners of Carey Optical, worked in the optical field in Ottawa and Owen Sound for over two decades before deciding to open their own Optical. In December 2006, they opened Carey Optical at its current location and have served the surrounding area ever since.

Customers were invited to a 10th anniversary celebration with cake and prizes on Wednesday, December 7 while Facebook friends were included for a chance to win a pair of prescription glasses. Kelsey Voisin of Port Elgin won a free pair of glasses, while Kristine McCarnen of Kincardine received a free set of prescription lenses.

Carey Optical would like to thank Angela Albright of The Main Event in Port Elgin for decorating help with colorful balloons, and a banner, adding a festive atmosphere.

Paul, Lorie, and their staff would like to thank all of their friends and customers for the last ten years, and for sharing in the celebrations; and look forward to many more years of serving the community.
