Norm's Fast Lube and Auto Detailing are celebrating their first year in business, at the Tibor's Auto Mall on Highway 21, Port Elgin, by holding an open house and customer appreciation day on Saturday, October 17, starting at 2pm.

Owner Norm Smits said there will be food provided by the Queen's Bar & Grill and refreshments as well as live music from Michael Nyman. “We're also going to have a draw for a complete interior and exterior auto detailing,” said Smits, adding that Mayor Mike Smith will be attending at 3pm.

Formerly Cruisers' Fast Lube, Smits took over the business, which became Norm's Fast Lube and Auto Detailing, after adding auto detailing to the business, a year ago.

Smits prides himself on the fast, friendly courteous service they offer. He says their first year has been wonderful. “It was as good as I expected but it still surprised me," he said. “We got through the tough first year, the first winter and now we're looking good coming into this winter.”
