The Port Elgin BIA is pleased to announce the annual Port Elgin Shoppers Night will return in 2021.
"In an effort to maintain safety for merchants, their staff and customers, Shoppers Nights will run over three days once again this year," read a November 8 media release, "beginning on Thursday November 25, with stores staying open an additional three hours, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m."
Shoppers Nights promotions will continue on Friday November 26 until 9pm, the release continued, and throughout the day on Saturday, November 27, leading into the Santa Claus Parade at 7pm. The parade will resume its traditional parade format through downtown Port Elgin.
“The multi-day format is really the best way we can deliver the Shoppers Night experience in the safest way possible,” said BIA Chair Addison Ziegler.
The BIA, with assistance from the Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores, will be decorating Coulter Parkette in Christmas cheer.
“With Shoppers Night, the decorations in the Parkette and the return of the traditional parade all at the same time, we hope this is the start of Port Elgin becoming a Christmas destination,” said Ziegler.
