Organizers of the Sunset Cruisers Bruce County Show ‘N Go held on June 27, 2021 are hailing it as a great success despite the weather forecast, said a June 28 media release.
“We are sure if the weather forecast had been better a lot more cars would have shown up," said co-organizer Morley Lymburner. "As it was, we had cars from as far away as Woodstock, Huntsville, Parry Sound, Oshawa, and Windsor.”
Co-organizer Dave Middleton said that more than 250 cars participated "and, as importantly, donated over $2,000 to Crime Stoppers."
Their first event of the season took cruisers on an over 200 kilometre trek around Bruce County with participants gathering at one of five start points, including Sauble Beach, Port Elgin, Kincardine, Point Clark, and Chelsey, and spectators were asked to find a safe spot along the route to enjoy the show.
Middleton added that with the June 27 event under their belt, organizers are looking ahead to the Bruce Peninsula tour scheduled for August 1.
