The first Sunset Cruisers cruise event for 2021 is set to take place Sunday, June 27 with a 1pm shotgun start.
The route will take cruisers on an over 200 kilometre trek around Bruce County with participants gathering at one of five start points beginning at noon. Donations are being accepted for Crime Stoppers.
The public is asked to not go to the start points but rather park somewhere along the route to enjoy the show.
Anyone with a classic or otherwise "special interest" car is invited to attend. Starting points include the Community Centre in Sauble Beach, the Plex in Port Elgin, Connaught Park in Kincardine, the lighthouse in Point Clark and 1925 Bruce Road 10 in Chesley.
COVID-19 rules are in place including no more than five people, all from the same household, per vehicle. Vehicles must park with one space between them rather than side by side. Hand sanitizer and masks are encouraged.
There are a few restrooms along the route, including gas stations and porta potties, but there is no guarantee they will be open so cruisers are encouraged to prepare accordingly.
Speed limits and traffic rules are to be followed, including not driving in excess of 80 kilometres per hour so older vehicles are able to keep up. Social distancing rules apply.
