An event coming to Grey Bruce aims to give classic car enthusiasts an opportunity to appreciate vintage and classic machines as well as cruise the open road.
The Cruise Grey Bruce Car Show is set to take place June 28, 2020 when classic cars, motorcycles, show cars, and more will gather at the Plex, 600 Tomlinson Drive in Port Elgin, between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. At 1:00 p.m. they will hit the open road convoy style.
The Cruise will head north on Highway 21 and follow a planned route through Southampton, Sauble Beach, Oliphant, Wiarton, Hepworth, Shallow Lake, Springmount, Keady, Chesley, Tara, and finally back to the lights at Gustavus Street before heading down main street of Port Elgin back to the Plex.
Event organizer Dave Middleton said that no registration is required for anyone wishing to participate. "They just show up day-of before 1 p.m.," he said.
Unfortunately due to social distancing regulations, the public is not able to visit the Plex but are encouraged to find a safe spot along the route to enjoy the cruise. Organizers say the Cruise Grey Bruce Car Show "is not a fundraiser, but a fun raiser," something to help bring peoples' spirits up.

The event is sponsored by Dave Middleton and Jason Finner of Sun Life Financial in Kincardine.
