Adventure Talks kicks off February 12 with Christy Eaglesham, Hiking the Camino de Santiago.
Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (BCM&CC) wants to help visitors beat the winter blahs beginning February 12 with their annual Adventure Talks series, featuring adventure travel stories, accompanied by photography, from around the world.
In a BCM&CC media release, this five-part series features guest speakers who will highlight their travel experiences and will kick off February 12 when Christy Eaglesham shares her journey of hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain.
On February 26, Ian Evans will share photos of skiing from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole, and later cycling across Australia.
March 11 will see John Swatridge’s favourite travel experiences in Asia, followed by the tales of Amy Muschik’s adventure in Jordan on March 25.
The final speaker, photographer Jennifer O’Reilly, will on April 8 showcase a pot-pourri of photographs from far-flung locales that have taken her breath away.
The Adventure Talks series is proudly presented by Hampton Court Retirement Lodge and takes place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Doors open at 10 a.m. Series tickets are $30 for members, $8 for a single session plus fees and HST, and $45 and $12 for non-members.
