John White’s winning photo from Southampton BIA’s Scenes of Southampton photo contest.

Scenes of Southampton winners and their guests attended a reception May 23 in the BIA room in the Southampton Art Gallery to highlight and recognize the winning photos.

The Scenes of Southampton contest was held from December 15 to February 15 where photographers were able to showcase the beauty of Southampton and its landscape.

Out of the more than 250 entires, there were 10 winning photographs with the grand prize winner receiving a $100 cash prize. John White and his photograph of the range light and its reflection on a calm day was the winning photo.

Contest winners were: Ana Dennier, Lynda Hesselink, John White, Jamie Edwards, Sam Weichel, Ed Nanni, Kaitlyn Shular, Dave Nicholson, and Colleen Young.

The winning photographs will be used by the Southampton BIA in social media, print and other marketing materials to promote the community.
