The Canadian Big Band Celebration (CBBC) committee presented an outstanding evening of New Orleans Style jazz and blues with Juno Award winning pianist-vocalist Tyler Yarema at the Southampton Golf and Country Club Thursday, May 3.

In a CBBC media release, a great evening to relax and have fun with friends Tyler and the band, comprised of Jack McFadden on bass, Steve Wood on drums, and Charlie Bell on saxophone, performed to a full house of 140 music loving patrons.

The evening served as a fundraiser for the 24th annual Canadian Big Band Celebration September 7 to 9, 2018. The “reveal” of musical artists for September was also announced at the fundraiser. One more fundraising event will take place at the Southampton Town Hall on Labour Day weekend, Saturday, September 1. This event is being presented by the Performing Arts of Saugeen Shores (PASS) and is a play created from stories of those who remember the days of summer dances at the shoreline dance halls of years gone by.
