With Christmas just a few weeks away many Southampton shops will be open until 9 p.m. on Fridays leading up to gift giving day and the Southampton BIA wanted to add some holiday cheer to the shopping season and hosted the inaugural Festive Friday event.
Participating downtown businesses held special events in store, including hot chocolate tastings and even showcased beloved holiday films and a yoga demonstration at the former Kelly Green location which was donated for the event.
“We hope to start expanding [Festive Fridays] and add great events for kids and families,” said Heather Hyde of the Southampton BIA, December 8.
