A Saugeen Shores Canada 150 Skating Day is being held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 10 thanks to the Canadian Martial Arts Centre (CMAC).
Canada 150 Skating Day, being touted “the coolest skating party of the year” by the Government of Canada, is happening across the country as a way to bid a fond farewell to the Canada 150 celebrations in true Canadian fashion, by hitting the ice.
In a statement from CMAC, the Saugeen Shores Canada 150 Skating Day will take place at the Southampton Coliseum and will include give-aways, draws, and free hot chocolate and cake.
The event is free to attend and everyone is welcome.
CMAC will also host an information booth and a bake sale to fund raise for new training equipment.
