Southampton Care Centre opened up its parking lot to include some special guests for their annual Cruiser’s Night at the Centre July 31. Accompanied by music played by Dave Schmidt with his one-man show Take-1, the residents of the Care Centre got to enjoy the classic cars and chat with their owners on a beautiful night to end the month of July.

Resident Family Service Coordinator Andrea Prentice said that the event invites car enthusiasts from the weekly Cruisers Cruise Nite that happens Thursday nights throughout the summer and welcomes them to the care centre to share their prized possessions with the residents.

“We do this annually where we have a barbecue for the cruisers and then we have the residents come and sometimes it just sparks conversation about their first vehicle or you know some fun story about maybe when they stole their parents car or tractor, so it’s a nice entertaining night,” said Prentice.
