Morning rain and grey skies didn’t keep families from enjoying the Port Elgin BIA’s third annual Easter Petting Zoo in Coulter Parkette April 15. Rabbits, goats and even a camel, supplied by Tiger Paw from Arthur, Ontario, kept dry under tents during the four hour free downtown event.
New to the zoo were bubble wands and a special balloon pit, provided by The Main Event in Port Elgin, that brought out many smiles.
The weather cleared and the sun came out for the afternoon hours of the event.

During a rainy morning, the animals kept dry under large tents and were constantly treated to food from little hands.

The smaller animals had their own space and welcomed everyone to the event.
