After over 30 years, the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Christmas Bazaar can still draw a crowd, as was the case November 19 when auxiliary members took over the Rotary Hall at the Plex in Port Elgin.
From handmade items to books, knick knacks to antiquities, the carefully curated wares were placed throughout the hall for browsers and shoppers alike.
The hospital’s auxiliary has over 100 active volunteers and 75 percent were on-hand at the bazaar. Members of the auxiliary have been crafting items throughout the year and have a bit of overstock items as the hospital gift shop had to temporarily close its doors due to ongoing construction.
Proceeds from the bazaar go back to Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
