The second Art on the Promenade of the season, which takes place next to the Port Elgin Harbour, was accompanied by some great tunes and some nice weather, during the artisan showcase August 14.

roar 280Roar by Rex displayed many unique and eye catching items at Art on the Promenade. The creations by Saugeen Shores local Kristen Halloway can also be seen at the Port Elgin Farmers’ Market.

In her second year on the promenade Southampton’s Luz-Maria Wilson displayed her found art from the beaches of Southampton. Wilson said that the day was well spent in such a nice location, adding that it was nice to have people come up and chat with her and that many made nice comments about her work.

Town of Saugeen Shores Marketing and Programs Coordinator, Laura Moscone was happy that the weather held out for the event and that music could be provided by 98 the Beach as well as the weekly Bandshell concert, that played until the sun went down.

The first Art on the Promenade event of the season was held on July 10.

Mascone was happy to see the promenade space become a hub of activity and hopes to organize more Art on the Promenades there for years to come.
