It was a night of food, fashion and music at Ristorante Rosina's in Port Elgin who hosted their second annual Pretty in Pink fundraiser, which included a Fashion Show by Jenn Lamont from Pulse and The Spa Room in Port Elgin.

Proceeds from the evening went to Pretty in Pink's $100,000 pledge to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation for Grey Bruce Health Services' regional Cancer Care Centre at the Owen Sound Hospital. Before the evening's event the organization had raised approximately $80,000 toward their goal.

“We've done this for two years,” said Ristorante Rosina owner, Steve Harris who said that last year they partnered with Sisters on Huron in Southampton for the fashion show. “It's a great cause and it's also a way of incorporating businesses in the community and let them showcase their clothing,” he said.

Tickets for the evening included appetizers and dinner, live music from John Martelli and James Leone, a fashion show, a 50/50 draw and a live auction with auctioneer, Pat O'Connor.

The fashion show consisted of 12 models showcasing some of Pulse Lifestyle and Apparel's clothing. “Tonight is more active wear,” said Pulse and The Spa Room owner, Jenn Lamont. The show ended with cheers from the crowd as three male models paraded through the restaurant in their underwear.

The live auction saw a variety of items from Toronto Blue Jays tickets to a date night with Mattie (Allen), one of the evening's underwear models, which went for $525.

In total over $6,000 was raised from the evening's proceedings.

The next event for Pretty in Pink will be their Ladies Golf Tournament at Saugeen Golf Club on June 17 and then a “Denim and Diamond” gala event on September 3 at the Southampton Coliseum. “It will be a big celebration to thank everyone in our community for their support over the last eight years that we have been fundraising,” said Pretty in Pink Co-Chair, Sylvia Sheard.

One of the evening's live auction prizes was a date with Mattie Allen, one of three male models who ended the fashion show by strutting their stuff in their underwear. Mattie's date raised $525 for Pretty in Pink.
