macgregorskatingloopA weekend of fun awaits outdoor enthusiasts at MacGregor Point Provincial Park this Family Day weekend, February 13 through 15.

Family Hike - Birding for Beginners: Saturday, February 13 at 10 a.m., starting at the Visitor Centre
Join park naturalists and learn more about the year round birds in our area and how they survive the winter months. Learn about unique behaviours, bird calls and even make your own suet feeder. It will be fun for the whole family.

MacGregor’s Survival Challenge: Sunday, February 14 at 11 a.m., starting at the Visitor Centre
In celebration of Family Day weekend MacGregor Point has an event for the whole family. Work as a team to complete brain busting puzzles, coordination concentrations and winter camping challenges. All materials provided.

Sign up in advance by calling 519-389-6231. Final heat begins at 1 p.m.

Owl Prowl: Saturday, February 13, 7 p.m., starting at the Visitor Centre
Come out for an evening of fun with park naturalists as we search for the owls of MacGregor Point. No pets. Please dress appropriately.

Winter Activity and Behaviour: Monday, February 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting at the Skating Trail
From under the wetlands to the forests of the Huron Fringe, come learn more about how plants and animals survive the winter months.

Outdoor Skating: Daily 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Weather permitting.
