Saugeen Shores Skating Club presents Battle of the Blades fundraiser, a classic matchup of one local hockey player and one figure skater, past or present, who come together to perform a routine and compete against other teams, with half of the proceeds going to the Liv-A-Little Foundation.

The event will take place at The Plex in Port Elgin on April 1 at 7pm, with three categories to choose from, Under 12, 13 to 18 and Adult and Family.

The deadline to register is February 5 and practices will begin on February 8 and run every Monday and Thursday evening until the event. Spectators are welcome to come and watch the teams practice from 7:50 to 8:50 p.m. Mondays and 7:20 to 8:20 p.m. on Thursdays.
