On December 8th in Port Elgin, the Port Elgin Montessori Preschool (PEMP) hosted a captivating Christmas concert for families and the local community. The event aimed to not only showcase the students' talents but also underscore PEMP's commitment to fostering community involvement and giving back.

"The annual Christmas concert was a delightful display of creativity and skill, featuring a diverse range of performances," read a submission to Saugeen Shores Hub. "The evening commenced with enchanting showcases on the Montessori bells, demonstrating the musical development of the students and their dedication to learning. Adding an energetic touch to the festivities, the preschoolers dazzled the crowd with lively Zumba dances, showcasing their coordination and active spirits."

Linguistic talents and cultural inclusivity were on display through a bilingual rendition of Jingle Bells, captivating the audience with a bilingual performance that highlighted the Montessori Preschool's aim to providing a well-rounded education fostering global understanding.

Contributing to the festive spirit, the young performers delighted attendees with renditions of holiday classics, 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' and 'We Are the World.'

"The timeless melodies echoed throughout the venue, filling hearts with joy and spreading the essence of togetherness," the release said, adding that a surprise visit from Santa Claus added a magical touch to the evening.

In the spirit of generosity, PEMP initiated a food drive for Living Hope Centre's Food Basket, aligning with the core aim of Montessori education with emphasis on community engagement and caring for others.
