South Port Optimist Club is holding a free Youth Bike Rodeo at École Port Elgin Saugeen Central School, 504 Catherine Street on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Whether on a bicycle, with or without training wheels, or a tricycle, elementary school aged children in Saugeen Shores are invited to learn to practice and develop safe bicycling handling skills in a fun traffic-free environment.

The day will include safety inspections of bikes and helmets, skills stations, a certificate of completion and refreshments.

Bring your own bike and helmet.

Prizes will include two $150 gift cards for new bikes, courtesy of Mowbray’s Canadian Tire.
