whgb colour fullTickets are selling quickly to this year’s Gala fundraiser in support of Women’s House Serving Bruce & Grey.

“We only have about 70 tickets left,” said Community and Fund Development Coordinator Tiffany Love, “and they will go quickly.”

The live auction is going to be bigger and better this year and promises “something for everyone”. With experience-type packages up for bid, from arts, festivals and museums to pampering packages to “Date Night for a Year”. Attendees could bid to be part of the studio audience, along with three friends, at two television shows, CityLine and The Goods.

There also promises to be a few surprise items available as well.

Although the Gala event is an evening full of fun and entertainment, it is also an evening of charity. All of the funds raised at the Gala go directly towards the services and client necessities provided by Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey that are not covered by government funding.

Women’s House relies on major fundraisers, such as the Gala, to ensure the current level of vital services and programs are continued for the women and children in need in our community.

The Gala could not be successful without the support from the Prestige Sponsor, Bruce Power; and the Corporate Sponsors, Greenfield Specialty Alcohols, Bruce Telecom, Power Workers’ Union, Matchett Financial Services, The Co-operators, Meridian Credit Union and Ontario Power Generation.

Also helping with the success of this event are all of the local businesses and organizations donating to the silent auction.

The Gala will take place on October 15 at Marriott Town Suites in Kincardine. Tickets are $80 and include a dinner served by Everywhere Catering, live entertainment, both silent and live auctions, as well as the chance to win one of three elimination prizes.
