Members of the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club took some time to pose outside of council chambers September 9.

The Saugeen Shores Mosquito Sting Rep Team, sponsored by True North Restoration Solutions Inc., nabbed the OBA Mosquito ā€˜Dā€™ Championship hosted in Saugeen Shores on the Labour Day weekend. At the September 9 Committee of Whole meeting, Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau presented each team member with a certificate to congratulate them on their victory on behalf of Saugeen Shores.

As the Sting filed out, the bright orange shirts of the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club (SSLC) streamed into the Council Chambers to commemorate another local achievement. The 56 athletes that make up the SSLC were awarded the Junior and Senior Championship banners at the Ontario Waterfront Lifesaving Championships held August 12 to 14 at the Port Elgin Main Beach.

Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau extended his congratulations to members of the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club and coach Cassidy Kazimer at the September 9 Committee of Whole meeting in Port Elgin on behalf of the community of Saugeen Shores.
