Bantam C girls

The Saugeen Shores Storm Bantam C Girls were congratulated in Council Chambers April 23 after winning gold at the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Provincial Tournament that was held April 5 to 7. The team was victorious in all six of their games.

Saugeen Shores Storm Bantam C Girls were congratulated by Mayor Luke Charbonneau, Deputy Mayor Don Matheson, members of council and many fans on April 23 in Port Elgin. The players were accompanied by Head Coach Chad Quanz, Managers Tom Cannon and Shawn MacDonald, Assistant Coaches Trevor Lalonde and Brent Wheeler and Trainers Laurie Anne Boyes and Rebecca Cushnie.

Council Chambers was packed with hockey fans celebrating the team taking the championship title at the Ontario Women's Hockey Association provincial tournament earlier this month.

Members of the ReMax Land Exchange Bantam C Girls, along with support staff, were each awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Achievement on behalf of Town and council.
