The appeal launched by the Tavistock Royals regarding a suspended player was dismissed by the WOAA review panel on Sunday afternoon.

In a Saugeen Shores Winterhawks media release, as a result, the standings remain intact and the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks will host the Minto 81's in the Sr. "AA" quarterfinals, which open this weekend.

"We are relieved to have the off-ice issues settled and put behind us," said Winterhawks President Gord Lamont. "It's time to focus on playoff hockey."

Game 1 of the best-of-seven series is scheduled for Friday night, February 8, at 8:30 p.m. in Port Elgin.

Tickets are $9 each and will be available at the door.
