In world competition in Adelaide, Australia, Head Lifeguard for the Saugeen Shores Centennial Pool Carlin Reid has seen some of the best finishes in Canada's youth division.

The Lifesaving World Championships were held in Adelaide November 16 to December 2 and Reid made the finals in all of her races. She placed 9th in Surf Ski, 10th in Board Race and 11th in Women's Ocean.
