The ladies of summer slo-pitch held a season kick-off fundraiser at Lakeshore Recreation, May 26. The event was organized by the Saugeen Shore Ladies Slo-Pitch (SSLSP) executive and raised $2,083 which will go towards the proposed sports complex located on Concession 6, in Port Elgin, currently known as the Lamont Pit.

Baseball player Farley Ring said on behalf of the executive that they would like to thank Ann and Gord MacKay for their donation, Lakeshore Recreation, Beachin' as well as the Wismer House and the 21 Saugeen Shores Ladies Slo-pitch teams for donating prizes for the event.
