pickleballJohn Van Bastelaar and Joanne Marklevitz of the Saugeen Shores Pickleball Club were at the Leisure Fair September 6 to promote the Saugeen Shores Pickleball Club and project to increase play amongst all ages in the community. Providing equipment and coaching at various locations including Saugeen District Secondary School, G.C. Huston Public School, Port Elgin Missionary Church and Saugeen Missionary Church, the club was signing children up for free with a $3 drop-in rate for adults.

Hub Staff

With the new school year underway parents and caregivers came in droves to the Fall and Winter Leisure Fair at the Plex in Port Elgin to sign up their child for their favourite activity, learn about new after school programming, while others learned about recreation activities for adults and take part in the mass program registration night September 6.

kumonRashmi Sheel along with a friend manned the Kumon booth at the Leisure Fair in Port Elgin. Kumon, a math and reading centre, is new to Maple Square Mall in Port Elgin.
