Co-ed junior lacrosse programs will be held in Saugeen Shores beginning this April. Saugeen Shores Bucks Lacrosse will hold an eight week course beginning April 18 through June 8, with two lessons per week for each of the eight weeks.
Divisions as follows:
Paperweight, ages 5-6, birth years 2010-11:
Skills based program focusing on the basics of lacrosse. Drills and games to keep it fun. Basic rules and game play are introduced.
Tyke, ages 7-8, birth years 2008-09:
Skills based program focusing on the basics of lacrosse. Drills and games to keep it fun. Rules and game play development.
Novice, ages 9-10, birth years 2006-07:
Skills based program focusing on the basics of lacrosse and some more advanced skills. Drills and game play to keep it fun. Rules and game play will be a focus. Game strategies will be introduced.
Peewee, ages 11-12, birth years 2004-05:
Skills based program focusing on the basics of lacrosse and some more advanced skills. Drills and game play to keep it fun. Rules and game play will be a focus. Game strategies will be introduced.
All four divisions are designed as “learn to play” programs to introduce the game of lacrosse to the participants and build the skills of those who have played before.
The fee will be $100 per child and program registration will be available online at midnight, March 9 or at the Leisure Fair March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Plex. Lacrosse volunteer staff will be on hand at the Leisure Fair to answer any questions.
