Make your Ontario Taxpayer Rebate count, says reader

Coldest Night of the Year logo

Dear Editor:

John and I each just received our $200 Ontario Taxpayer Rebate cheques in the mail. We feel very strongly that this $3.5 billion taxpayer money could have been better spent to improve our healthcare, education, mental health and housing in Ontario.

As we are very fortunate and live a comfortable life, we have decided to donate these funds to the Coldest Night of the Year event taking place in Southampton on February 22. This event takes place across Canada and the USA and raises money to help the hurt, hungry and homeless.

You can donate, volunteer or walk and raise pledges by going on-line to CNOY.org/SaugeenShores.

Make your $200 count!
