NII Explore

Science is hitting the road again this summer in Grey, Bruce and Huron counties with NII Explore's Science in the Summer tour.

In a July 5 media release, whether it's programming a robot, constructing a massive marble run or laser cutting a custom-drawn wooden butterfly, the tour is back for a second year.

The program is sponsored by Bruce Power and Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) and aims to bring hands-on learning to students of all ages.

The team has doubled their number of events this year and will introduce the 2022 NII ExploreZone Passport where participants can collect stamps by participating in the program's activities for a chance to win tech prizes at NII's SWERVE event happening September 9 to 11 at the Southampton Coliseum.

To get the passport visit a Science in the Summer booth in July and August. Once a student completes one of NII Explore's five STEM activities, they will get a stamp on their passport for each.

Once they have all five stamps, students can bring the passports to SWERVE where they will get their final stamp and be entered to win.
