bowl for kids sake

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce (BBBSGB) is hosting their 42nd annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser event and promises it to be bigger than ever.

"As our programs continue to grow across our two counties of Grey and Bruce, so does our events," read a recent media release from BBBSGB adding that this year lanes will be available at three area bowling alleys for the cause.

Anyone wishing to participate can join BBBSGB in-person at The Bowling Alley in Owen Sound on April 21 from 6:30pm to 8pm and April 23 from 11:30am to 1pm, at Sunset Family Fun Centre in Port Elgin on April 23 from 1pm to 2:30pm and at Georgian Bowl in Collingwood on April 23 from 10am to 11:30am. Virtual bowling options will also be available to teams and individuals.

A closing ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 23 at 3pm at the Harmony Centre, located 890 4th Avenue East in Owen Sound. "You are welcome to come in-person or tune in through our live stream," read the release."

A silent auction will be hosted online from April 16 to 23 and a link will be shared at greybruce.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca closer to the date.

Proceeds from the event will go towards ensuring more young people in Grey and Bruce have access to BBBSGB's no-cost mentoring programs.
