The Bruce County Public Library (BCPL) is hoping to launch a Bookmobile and a recent $10,000 donation from the Community Foundations Fund of The Society of United Professionals, Bruce Local have brought them closer to their goal.
Library Services Director Brooke McLean said they have received "overwhelming support" from the communities they serve and is grateful to The Society of United Professionals for seeing the potential of the Bookmobile.
The goal is to make a difference in underserved communities in Bruce County, bringing books, technology and library services to where the people are. BCPL hopes to launch the Bookmobile later this year.
Board Chair Luke Charbonneau said their communities were excited for the new service, adding that this donation will help to make it a reality.
