100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce have delivered another $21,800 to causes in Grey and Bruce counties.
Their April recipient was The REACH Centre Grey Bruce, who provides programming for youth and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, receiving $10,700; and in June, Safe n Sound Grey Bruce, providing homelessness prevention, shelter services and harm reduction, received $11,100.
100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce gives to four charities each year, nominated and voted on by members, and their membership has continued to grow since the start of the pandemic, said Lynda Legge, Chair of 100 Women.
"In April of 2020 we had 41 members, by November of 2020 we grew to 74," Legge said, adding that they are continuing to gain momentum in 2021 and at the time of correspondence had reached 111 members.
Women can join solo or as part of a group and by doing so commit to a $100 donation at each of their four meetings per year.
