A fire has caused significant damage to a house in Port Elgin following a blaze November 11. Saugeen Shores Fire, Police and Bruce County EMS were dispatched to an address on Elgin Street just after 2 p.m.

In a November 12 media release, one person, along with several dogs and a cat were evacuated and no injuries were reported.

Saugeen Shores Fire is continuing to investigate but the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
