Due to COVID-19, a private Remembrance Day service was held at the Port Elgin, Southampton and Saugeen First Nation Cenotaphs today, November 11, in honour of those who have served and continue to serve.

November 11, 2020 also marked the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Both the Port Elgin service and the Saugeen First Nation service were livestreamed, giving the public an opportunity to participate, and folks were invited to attend the Cenotaphs following the conclusion of their respective services to pay their respects.
