Saugeen Shores Council has taken the next step toward Cedar Crescent Village multi-use facility at the Port Elgin Main Beach. The project design and a preliminary development schedule for the project was approved in principle November 9.
In a media release from the Town of Saugeen Shores, Mayor Luke Charbonneau said he was glad to see the project advance.
"This approval is a step in the lease agreement that is required," read the Town's release, with detailed site plans and construction drawings yet to come. As per the lease agreement, Council will continue to have the opportunity to approve or reject design details.
A detailed design schedule shows construction beginning at the end of February, 2021 with a completion date at the beginning of May.
